Within Linux I use the editor(s) of Kdevelop (http://www.kdevelop.org/) for different language coding, in the next version there is going to have a c# aspect to the editor.
The Kdevelop editor uses the Kate http://kate.kde.org/ plugin, which allows Kdevelop to concentrate on the other aspects of the programming editor environment. I also use the Kate standard editor for programming if I do not wish to have the full Kdevelop functional aspects (like assembly debugging etc.)
